Four Decades of Compassion, Courage and Care.

Greetings,

As we stand on the cusp of a historic milestone, it is with immense joy and enthusiasm that I announce the forthcoming celebration of Hemophilia Federation (India)’s 40th anniversary and the commemoration of the 40th Founder’s Day on November 24, 2023.

This year holds great significance as it marks a memorable 40-year journey since our organization’s inception in 1983. The Founder’s Day of Hemophilia Federation India, set for November 24, signifies a moment of reflection, gratitude, and anticipation. It heralds the start of our 40-year celebration, symbolizing our collective dedication to transforming lives affected by hemophilia.

Over the past four decades, our strides in Hemophilia care, advocacy, and support have been extraordinary. The foundation laid by our founders embodies resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Together, we have nurtured a community that stands strong, supporting each other through the hemophilia journey’s peaks and valleys.

From 3 chapters to a remarkable 92, with over 97 HTC’s, and the training of over 10,000 HCP’s, our accomplishments have been substantial. Numerous programs, a robust platform for youth and women, and inclusion in the disability act of 2016 stand as testament to our advocacy for treatment.

Amid our celebrations, let us honor the invaluable contributions of individuals who shaped the legacy of Hemophilia Federation (India). It underscores the strength of unity, shared purpose, and the enduring spirit of our community.

Looking ahead, the future of HFI shines brightly. Our commitment to advancing hemophilia care, awareness, and advocacy remains resolute. The coming years promise greater achievements as we innovate, collaborate, and empower those affected by hemophilia.

Throughout the year, various activities will center around our 40th Anniversary theme – ‘Four Decades of Compassion, Courage, and Care.’

This anniversary serves as a reminder of our shared accomplishments and a catalyst for the extraordinary potential ahead. Together, let us build upon our founders’ groundwork, striving toward a future where hemophilia is not just managed but conquered. Preserving traditions while embracing progress in a dynamic world remains crucial.

I express sincere gratitude to our former leaders, EC, staff, doctors, and donors whose significant contributions have shaped our present standing.

Let us all engage in celebrating HFI’s 40th anniversary in our respective capacities, strengthening our collective resolve toward our community’s overall development.

Our commitment remains steadfast in fostering an inclusive and respectful environment.

Thank you for your continuous efforts in furthering the vision and mission of HFI.

With heartfelt gratitude and unwavering optimism,

Prem Roop Alva
