Hemophilia Federation (India) - INITIATIVE ON HEMOPHILIA CARE IV

Hemophilia is a Complex Disorder which can not be cured, but its life threatening situations can be prevented with medicine (AHF) support.

HFI does continuous advocacy and representation for Persons with Hemophilia (PwH) to improve their access to treatment and medical care.

HFI is the only National Hemophilia Federation providing education support to Children with Hemophilia (CwH).

HFI provides subsidized / free treatment support (AHF), educate and provide proper information on Hemophilia Care to both Persons with Hemophilia (PwH), their families and the medical fraternity.

HFI does awareness campaigns to make treatment available free at various state hospitals across the country.

INITIATIVE ON HEMOPHILIACARE IV

New Delhi, 17 April, 2018: This year, as in previous ones, 17th April was the occasion to celebrate World Hemophilia Day. Hemophilia Federation (India) under the aegis of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare renewed its support to the patient community by organizing the fourth in the series of the programme "Initiative on Hemophilia Care - IV" at Jacaranda Hall, India Habitat Center, New Delhi with support of Shire and Novo Nordisk India Pvt. Ltd. 200 participants took part to promote the initiative "IHC-IV" which included Hemophilia activists, Healthcare Professionals and Policy makers from across the country.

Dr. A Surya Prakash (Chairman Prasar Bharti) was the Chief Guest and other Hon'ble dignitaries accompanying him on the dais were Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (Deputy DCGI), Dr. Sanjay Kant Prasad (Deputy Chief Commissioner, Disabilities, MoSJ&E) and Mrs. Vinita Srivastava (National Coordinator Blood Cell, NHM, MOH&FW).
